About The Privacy Shop

The Privacy Shop exists because privacy shouldn't be a luxury or a full-time job. Most people want to reduce how much they're tracked, profiled, and monetised — they just don't have the time to wade through conflicting advice or wire together a dozen tools.

Our aim is simple: build and recommend things that respect you by default. That means products and guides where the private option is the standard one, not a setting buried five menus deep.

What we care about

  • Data minimisation — the best way to protect data is to not collect it.
  • No dark patterns — clear choices, honest defaults, easy opt-outs.
  • Practical over perfect — small changes that meaningfully reduce your exposure.
  • Building in the open — we share what works and what doesn't.

This is early days. We'll use this space to document what we're building, review privacy tools honestly, and publish guides you can actually follow. If that's your kind of thing, grab theRSS feed and follow along.
